    Position Purpose

    • As a Contract Review Specialist, the applicant shall have the skills and knowledge to communicate the work to the customer in accordance with procedures approved by the responsible Level 3 with respect to applicable codes, specifications, and standards. The Specialist shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the test method and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job (OJT). 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Review requirements pertaining to purchase orders, specifications, revisions, pricing and lab card entry.
    • Ensures customer is in good payment standing prior to work being performed. 
    • Creates job package prior to work being released to NDT department.
    • Work directly with customers on purchase order revision for proper documentation
    • Work directly with quality manager on report data related to metrics and balanced scorecard.
    • Responsible to investigate or communicate any necessary preparation of parts before or after inspection in accordance with approved work instructions. 
    • Receive guidance or supervision from a certified level 1, 2 or 3 in that method when necessary. 
    • When specified in the written practice and approved by the Responsible Level 3, communicate to the customer the interpretations and evaluations of specific product(s) or product form(s) for acceptance or rejection in accordance with the approved work instructions. 
    • Contact customers and educating them of the NDT process as needed.
    • Answering phones when needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Ability to utilize mathematical formulas.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Ability to follow safety regulations. 
    • Have the ability to communicate work instructions to the customer. 
    • Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • Ability to read and understand technical documents relating to the applicable method.
    • High level of interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with others.
    • Assist in the maintaining of the KAIZEN 6S discipline.
    • Ability and willingness to understand all NDT methods.
    • Ability to work effectively with others and in a team environment. 
    • Create documentation and reports as needed to company expectations.
    • Must have analytical capabilities for customer needs assessment and solutions identification.
    • Complete understanding of non-destructive testing processes. 
    • Ability to build and maintain professional customer relationsips.  
    • Firmly adheres to the values and ethics of X-Ray Industries. Exhibits honesty, discretion, and sound judgment.
    • Possess excellent communication skills to convey information to customers and colleagues effectively. 
    • Willing to work with others, collaborating and compromising where necessary; promptly share relevant information with others.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Knowledge of MS Office 2000 (Word, Excel). MAS200, XRI APPS, Excellent phone etiquette..  
    • Customer service driven, teamwork and detail orientated, professional, upbeat, energetic, takes initiative, dependable, takes pride in work. 


    Education and Work Experience

    • Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred with three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.


    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

    Working Conditions

    • The physical environment requires the employee to work inside an office environment, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a busy office and shop environment.  
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
    • May be requested to work overtime and weekends occasionally.
