    Position Purpose

    • This position is responsible for locating and notifying customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or personal visit to solicit payment and resolve payment status on outstanding receivables.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Reviews aging reports for all Client accounts for collections and follow through with notifying the Client of delinquent accounts by phone or email.
    • Work closely with the HUB and review the notes in AKN
    • Ability to arrange for debt repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on Client’s financial situations.
    • Communicates with Regional Offices to work together to resolve any collection inquiries in a professional way.
    • Coordinate resolution of past due accounts by arranging for payment, suspension of service, etc.
    • Research, compile, maintain, and manage data related to collection efforts.
    • Contact customers to resolve billing issues by providing feedback to the Billing Department for invoice corrections.
    • Provides internal and external customer service by answering all inquiries professionally and timely from both Clients and internal Departments such as Billing and Operations..
    • Escalates any problems or issues to the Department Supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Other responsibilities as directed by the Department Supervisor or the AP/AR Credit Manager.
    • Assist with training new employees on department policies and processes.
    • Meets department closing schedule timelines and responsibilities.
    • Provides monthly reporting team metrics as assigned by Department Supervisor.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Assist Supervisor by mentoring and advising employees on departmental processes

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Understanding of collection practices.

    • Understanding of basic accounting principles including accruals.

    • Good Excel and Word Skills, and knowledge of ERP systems.

    • Good interpersonal skills.

    • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

    Education and Work Experience

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Achieved or in process of obtaining a college degree preferred
    • At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
    • Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and collections applications
