    Position Purpose

    • The Accountant/Analyst will analyze transactions, trends and results; proactively support managers and clerical staff through good communication and education techniques. This position will also have responsibility for the correct allocation of labor, inventory accounting and expense allocation to include analysis and journal entry preparation and entry.  Responsible for data input and preparing financial reports, tracking of budgets, tracking departmental expenses and cost improvement ideas and problem-solving.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • This position reports directly to the Controller.
    • Prepare and post journal entries as required for labor, inventory and departmental expenses and perform month end close.
    • Assist in reporting related to items including but not limited to utilization, CAPEX requisitions, billable-non billable hours, headcount, working capital, WIP aging, A/R aging, bad debt etc.
    • Prepares and monitors monthly forecast for the business and business units.
    • Compiles and analyzes annual budget information.
    • Will perform departmental cost analysis, variance analysis and capital expenditure requests.
    • Prepares financial presentations for business review meetings (BRM) and senior management meeting (SMM).
    • Analyzes records of present and past operations.
    • Analyzes trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, makes improvement recommendations to Management.
    • Assist managers with monthly tracking of key financial data working closely with the VP of Operations.
    • Coordinate and record the monthly inventory balances.
    • Compiles data on costs, inventory accountability, labor distribution, actual cost verification, and variance computations.
    • Works with Operations to quote new programs and business opportunities. 
    • Work with senior management on target acquisitions as required. 
    • Helps train the appropriate staff at each location on specific accounting functions.
    • Other duties as assigned by Controller and senior management.

    Supervisory Responsibilities


    Knowledge and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 10-15 years’ experience in accounting.
    • Must be able to engage in business operations.
    • Focus on future growth and development of the operations.
    • Detail oriented a must
    • Excellent written and oral skills 
    • Desire and ability to travel up to 25%
    • Ability to learn new software systems
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly strong in Excel with Pivot Table & V-Lookup skills.
    • Strong SAP experience required.
    • Strong data analysis ability

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in accounting/finance role with displayed career progression. 
    • Strong knowledge of SAP required.

    Working Conditions

    • The physical environment requires the employee to work inside an office environment, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
    • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
