    Position Purpose

    • The purpose of the Field Force Process Owner is to lead and manage projects related to Field Force. This individual is accountable to the VPs and is an intermediary between all stakeholders in the organization. Understands the broad vision and objectives of Field Force and has a high level of technical knowledge of the Field Force Solution.  Also, has the skill and ability to perform requirements as internal change agent.  This position is responsible for taking a leadership role in the projects assigned including reporting, resolving, and escalating issues as they arise.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Define vision, objectives, goals, and metrics for Field Force application and associated interfaces by working with the different Business Units and Operations ensuring an aligned vision between the two and Applus North America.
    • Working with the BIM define and refine Field Force processes as appropriate to any changes and modifications.
    • Collect requirements from Field Force application users and maintain on-going log.
    • Participate in decisions to approve major enhancements with senior leadership (new budget impact).
    • Approve minor enhancements in collaboration with BIM (existing budget).
    • Work with Business Innovation Systems (BIS) to manage new and changed Field Force requirements.
    • Ensure 3rd Party developers are meeting timelines, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Maintain process documentation ensuring quality control and accurate process documentation and workflows at all time.
    • Maintain all Field Force user manuals and quick reference guides in the Top Desk knowledgebase.
    • Develop training program and revise as required; ensure Business Unit and operational feedback in all training programs is captured in order to meet field and operational requirements.
    • Deliver Field Force process training in the Business Units ensuring proper knowledge transfer and ability of field and operational staff to fully understand and comply with Field Force automation requirements.
    • Deliver training specific to the Field Force application device (Tablet and WINDOWS10 client).
    • Work with development team to deploy enhancements for hardware and software.
    • Develop and deliver communications working with operations, Business Unit Leaders, and Applus North America Corporate Communications personnel.
    • Maintain Field Force permissions (assignment groups) ensuring security requirements are met at all times.
    • Oversee level 1 support, level 2 support for hardware and software and level 3 support.
    • Consult with Field Force application users before, during and after project to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
    • Must maintain a strong focus on cross functional teamwork with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
    • Follow and enforce Company policies at all times.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally.
    • Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed.
    • Train, mentor and guide technicians and other staff in correct field force automation requirements and processes.

    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s (BS/BA) in Business or other related discipline, preferred.
    • Requires ten plus (10+) years of project management experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in a Field Testing, Inspection and Certification organization is preferred.
    • Experience managing projects involving technological improvements for manual processes, preferred.

    Certificates and Licenses Required

    • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
    • PMP Certification
    • Lean Kaizen training and experience
    • Six Sigma Blackbelt

    Working Conditions

    • The physical environment requires the employee to mostly work inside what would normally be considered an office environment.

    • Overtime required during the week and weekend with work volume
    • Ability to travel when required, nationally and internationally, up to 25% of the time
    • Home location must be physically located in Houston, Texas or surrounding area.
