    Position Purpose

    • The main function of the Vice President is to provide leadership and direction the Kiefner Group. Key responsibilities include: budget planning and attainment, business strategy and attainment, safe, quality, and on time engineering execution, profit & loss responsibilities, and sales/business development.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Know and manage the Region through effective use of the Service Line Managers, sales reports, assessing departmental results and monthly financials, and develop specific actions directly related to business development and growth.
    • Lead and manage Region annual budgets, strategic planning and annual profit plan objectives and attainment for all departments. Responsible for meeting top line and bottom line objectives.
    • Lead and direct the development of the Regional sales goals and action plans directly tied into measurable results and timely and consistent execution.
    • Review Region performance against operating plans, utilization, analyze market conditions and approve changes in plan directions.
    • Maintain operational excellence for the Region by measuring key performance indicators such as client satisfaction, sales goals, revenue, adjusted operating profit, quality and safety metrics, corporate initiatives and targets, on time service delivery, and employee retention.
    • Assure and maintain customer engagement aimed at quality, ideas, development and acknowledgment, which leads to an emotional and loyal brand/customer attachment.
    • Fully accountable for setting pricing strategy and price realization objectives in line with corporate strategy and objectives.
    • Direct management team to achieve safety, quality, and utilization targets providing a best in class customer experience; this includes interacting with customers listening and recommending changes to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
    • Provide forecast information of market conditions and financial projections of the Region to management with future recommendations.
    • Ensure that quality assurance operational objectives are being met in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
    • Achieve and maintain operational safety performance, objectives, and goals are being met in compliance with corporate policies and procedures and Kiefner standards.
    • Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate the company objectives to all staff and management teams.
    • Provide continuous improvement throughout the organization to improve efficiency, service quality and timeliness.
    • Participate as a member of the USA Leadership Team, working together to USA strategic objectives
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and processes
    • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
    • Follow and enforce Company policies at all times including the Code of Ethics and Anti-Corruption.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
    • Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
    • Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed
    • Maintain staff job results by coaching, counseling, goal setting, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results in partnership with human resources
    • Review, validate, and approve reporting employees’ timesheet and reports.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Knowledge of Pipeline Integrity Engineering including, but not limited to, failure analysis, fit for service evaluation, and in-line inspection qualificationns for the oil and gas industry.
    • Understanding of the oil and gas industry and the impact of regulations, and industry initiatives have on the industry and customer requirements.
    • Knowledge of Oil and Gas market, industry personnel, key customer contacts, and product offerings required.
    • Ability to balance the need of delivering a quality service and a profitable result.
    • Ability to read, create, and advise on technical documents and procedures.
    • The ability to understand the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
    • Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
    • A sense of urgency, good attention to detail, and follow-thru
    • Demonstrates a strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Unusually decisive in handling difficult problems. Translates problems into practical solutions

    Education and Work Experience

    • 15+ years of experience in an engineering role in the oil and gas service industry.
    • 10+ years of experience in a management role in the oil and gas service industry and/or pipeline engineering industry.
    • 10+ years of experience in revenue generation and profit creation with a record of year over year growth.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • A proven track record of strong performance in driving performance and key engineering metrics, coupled with successful and consistent organizational development history.
    • Outstanding leadership skills. Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead team, train talent and effect change. Track record of building talent.

    Working Conditions

    • The physical environment requires the employee to work inside an office environment, protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.

    • Ability to travel when required, nationally, up to 50% of the time and potentially, international travel required.
